STEP 2: Apply for Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) High School Scholarships

Many scholarships administered by the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) require that you meet some simple eligibility requirements in order to be considered.

Completion of the SCAF ELIGIBILITY CHART ensures that you will be considered for as many of these scholarships as possible.

SUPPLEMENTAL FORMS: Certain SCAF scholarships require additional information which may be entered on a SUPPLEMENTAL FORM. These forms are linked. Submit these forms together with your SCAF application packet.

UNRESTRICTED SCHOLARSHIPS: You will AUTOMATICALLY be considered for the following “unrestricted” scholarships. “Unrestricted” means that any graduating senior is eligible for these scholarships. All of the following unrestricted scholarships are administered by the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (BOLD = Endowed, Perpetual SCAF Scholarship).

  • Bertha Jones Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $550
  • Camano Plaza: 1-2 at $500-$1000
  • Charles and Donna Cole Memorial Scholarship: 2 at $1200
  • Children’s Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $450
  • Clifford and Helen Henning Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $500
  • Edward and Katherine Jones Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $1000
  • Floyd Norgaard Scholarship: 1 at $450
  • Harry Taylor Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $225
  • Hildur Skoglund Memorial Scholarship: 2 at $650
  • Pay it Forward Scholarship: 1-2 at $500 to $1500
  • Ruth Gavin Memorial Scholarship: 1 at $500
  • SCAF Trustees Scholarship: 1 or more at $500
  • Stillaguamish Grange #1058: 1 at $300
  • Stillaguamish Tribe: 2 at $1000
  • Connie Swanson Memorial: 1 at $1000
  • Edward William Goodridge Memorial: 1 at $1000
  • Thomas & Associates Insurance: 8 at $250

TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION: Send a SINGLE COPY of your completed STANDARD APPLICATION FORM (from Step 1 - don’t forget your Transcript and, if you have one, your Reference Letter), together with your completed SCAF ELIGIBILITY CHART, to:

ALTERNATE METHOD:

You may drop your SCAF application off at the SCAF office located at #10 8820 Viking Way in Stanwood (next door to the Uff Da Shop in Viking Village). Hours are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Tues, Wed and Thurs.

Please don’t mail forms to the SCAF street address as they will NOT reach us!

All applications must be postmarked/delivered on or before March 14, 2008.
