Step 3: Community Submittal

STEP 3: To submit your application to additional Community Scholarship Addresses (see explanation below), send the following to EACH community organization for which you have indicated eligibility (you will find their addresses on the Community Scholarship List):

  • a COPY of your completed STANDARD APPLICATION FORM (from Step 1 - don’t forget your Transcript and, if you have one, your Reference Letter), together with
  • your completed COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP LIST (or at least the chart’s page showing your eligibility for their particular scholarship),

All applications must be postmarked on or before March 12, 2010

COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP LIST: Additional (non-SCAF) scholarships are offered directly by local organizations and businesses. You must meet some simple eligibility requirements in order to be considered for these scholarships.Completion of the COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP LIST indicates your eligibility and ensures that you will be considered for as many community scholarships as possible.  Addresses for these community scholarships are included in the Community Scholarship List.

SUPPLEMENTAL FORMS: Certain community scholarships require additional information which may be entered on a SUPPLEMENTAL FORM. These forms are linked within the COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP LIST. Submit these forms together with your community application packet.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FORMS: 

  • The Standard Application Form and the Supplemental Forms CAN be saved to your hard drive.
  • The SCAF Scholarship List and the Community Scholarship List CANNOT be saved to your hard drive (due to software limitations).
