2015 Adult Scholarships

Adult Scholarship Cycle Opens - June 22, 2015

Application Deadline - July 17, 2015

Scholarship Award Night - TBD

Adult scholarships are open to any adult residing within the Stanwood-Camano School District or who graduated from Stanwood High School or Lincoln Hill High School.

Most scholarships are restricted to adults 21 years of age or older, but check individual restrictions when scholarship lists are posted.

Different adult scholarships have different eligibility requirements, but many can be used for job training or workshops as well as college level coursework.

List of 2015 Adult Scholarships

Cheryle Jett-Boge Memorial Scholarship (2 @ $500)

Must be 21 years of age or older and not enrolled in college for last two years.

Cheryle Jett-Boge Memorial Veterinary Scholarship (1-2 @ $500)

Must be 21 years of age or older, not enrolled in college for last two years, and currently working in a Veterinary Clinic or with animals. Funds are to be used for classes, workshops, or further training related to animal care.

Cheryle Jett-Boge Memorial Fire Sciences Scholarship (1-2 @ $500)

Must be 21 years of age or older, not enrolled in college for last two years, and currently working at Fire Station or as an EMT. Funds are to be used for classes, workshops, or further training related to Fire Sciences or EMT.

Gladys Heinz Memorial Scholarship (1-3 @ $500-$1000)

Must be 21 years of age or over and not enrolled in college for last two years.

Kathy Peebler Caregiver Scholarship (1 @ $500)

Must be 21 years of age or over and pursing caregiving of elders (including but not limited to nursing, medicine, nurse’s aide, and home health care).

Stanwood Democrats / Delores Haglund Jones Memorial Scholarship (1 @ $500)

Must be 21 years of age or over, single parent needing training or education to compete in today’s work force.
